Abstract: The objectives of this reserach were (1) to find out a description about the existence of Islamic Junior High School Committee and (2) to find out the role level of Islamic Junior High School as an advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, and mediator agency at Islamis Junior High School in Gorontalo Province. The population are Islamic Junior High School in Gorontalo Province that consist of 50 schools at five districts and city and the sample were 30 schools taken 60% from the population by using random sampling. Data were collected by using questionnaire, interviews, and documents. Data were analyzed by using quantitative-descriptive and supported by qualitative analysis. The research findings indicate that the roles of Islamic Junior High School Committee as an advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, and mediator agency at Islamic Junior High Schools were low category with less than 50%. While the roles of committee as supporting agency were average category with 64.51%. Therefore,the roles of Islamic Junior High School Committee have not been done with institutional system yet. It hoped that the Islamic Junior High School Committee develop their competence in order to improve their performance in doing their rolesat Islamic Junior High school in Gorontalo Province
