HUBUNGAN ANTARA PEMAHAMAN TEORI-TEORI KONSELING DENGAN PEMANFAATAN LAYANAN KONSELING PADA SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 KOTA GORONTALO

Abstract: Abstract: This research was conducted to the students of  SMU Negeri 1 Gorontalo consist of 30 members of population that was taken randomly. This research was aimed to know the relationship between the use of counseling service the undestanding of counseling theorist SMU Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The technique of data colecting used consist of (a) observation of counseling implementation at SMU Negeri 1 Gorontalo, (b) interview with counselor about the mechanism of counseling implementation, and (c) questionnaires given to the students toget data about the use of counseling service which was related with the use understanding of counseling theories. The data analysis used was regression and correlation analysis. From the test result of the functional relation with the regression analysis was obtained value Y = 17.98+0.53X. It means thaty every reduction or growth one set of score at variable of  X will have an effect on to increase or decrease as well of  variable of Y equal to 0.53 unit. It shaws that there was a functional correlation between the understanding of  counseling theories (variable x) with the use of counseling service (variable y). It means that the better understanding of counseling theories by the counselor the more intensive the use of counseling service by  the student
